CALL 2 ACTION!
ATTENTION ALL ACTIVE AND EARLY RETIRED PARTICIPANTS OF THE HEALTH AND BENEFIT FUND
Teladoc will cease being the Fund’s telemedicine provider at midnight April 30th, 2024. This is neither bad news nor a daunting prospect for those that have paid attention and already enrolled with its successor, Included Health.
For those that have not, the question you’re going to have to answer is just how much passion does good health engender? Is the prospect of that, or for that matter, ill health, enough for you to generate five to ten minutes of effort to enroll yourself or an eligible family member into Included Health?
These are not wholly unreasonable questions. Especially in light of the fact that only fourteen percent (14%) of all eligible participants have enrolled with either Teladoc or Included Health.
That’s…., well, terrible.
Considering that this benefit is free, meaning there is no co-insurance or deductible being applied and the Fund is paying 100% of the expense of the service, there is absolutely no reason why 100% of all eligible participants are not enrolled. Couple that along with the services it already provides, with the fact that Included Health is assuming the telemedicine duties on May 1 and forward, don’t you think that you owe it to yourself and your family to enroll?
To enroll, either:
- Call 1-800-929-0926 to set up your account. OR,
- Go online at Includedhealth.com/ibew697. Click the blue button with the title “Activate my account” and follow the prompts. OR,
- Search for the IncludedHealth app within the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Download it. After it downloads, click on the blue button with the words “I am new here” and follow the prompts.
Lastly, while this benefit is free, the cost of not enrolling could be expensive to both you and your Health and Benefit Plan.
